Tea Cozy

Fine bulk loose leaf teas of many varieties; tea cups and teapots from east and west: food items from Britain.

Hi, I'm Connie at Sisters Tea Company and today we're going to talk about tea cosies. Here's our pot, here's our little dress for our pot and I want to show you how they go on your tea pot. So this is the inside of my tea cozy and this is reversible so you can flip it around and make it a little green when or you can have the so the one side is tied with the bow, then this side is open and you're going to just insert your spout into the tea cozy, snug it up here on this side over by the handle, then it's tight enough to stay around the rim of the tea pot. So you want your little ruffle to come all the way around the edge of your opening of your tea pot. So in order to keep the inside of your tea cozy as pretty as your outside because when you pour tea a little drip will run down and it will land right there on the inside of your tea cozy and turn it around. So if you put a little drip catcher on there which also is kind of fancy and cute, that will keep, it will get tea stained but your tea cozy won't get tea stained. Now the benefits of a tea cozy is it's going to keep your tea a lot warmer. If you did not have this cozy on your tea pot it would be cooled down in probably 15 to 15 minutes. But the inside, on the inside of these two layers of fabric I have an arctic batting which has a little metal in it and it's going to reflect the heat and keep it on the inside of the tea pot. So that's going to keep your tea a lot warmer for a lot longer. Now this is our s This is our yellow and golden black Florida leaf, our queen bee which has a little metallic in it and there's a little metallic polka dot on the inside. This is our Downton Abbey gray, the Downton Abbey cream. This is our aut This one here is our friendship recipe with a chicken wire lining. Then we have our holly berry Christmas and the little stars on the inside are our gold metallic. Then we have a teacup which is really a beautiful pattern. And also we have little mud rugs that go with all of the different patterns. So you'll see here this one matches. Be really cute on your table. If you had, I guess coming in you had a couple of these to put their little mugs on or even their teacup. You could even set your little goodies on there if you wanted to. We have several, we have one to match all of the teapots and then a few different extra ones It goes with another mug that we have. So there you go. Now Oh, Lori wants me to tell you how to wash these. So if you do get a tea stain on here, you want it to spray and wash and to let it soak for a little bit, then hand wash it in cool water or warm, warmish. Not boiling hot, but you can use warm water. And just rub that stain off and then rinse it out to roll it up in a towel to get the moisture out and then let it flat to dry. And so then you'll have to re-dry it up to put it on your teapot and make sure that you don't pull these ribbons out or you'll have to thread them back through there yourself. I've got them all threaded for you. But if you slip them out, they will have to be put back in. So that's how all about tea cosies. That's all I know And they're wonderful as gifts for your mom, for friends, for yourself. You can have one for every season, especially think the Christmas one would be adorable at a little tea Christmas tea this year with a friend or two. So just we do sell these in our boutique at sistersteacompany. com. And all these patterns are available. Bye.
