We are strong. The tragic bombings of the Boston Marathon on April, 15, 2013 affected not only those of us living in and near Boston, but the whole country. In the days since the event, Boston has shown its true colors- people helping people. There has been an incredible outpouring of empathy and support ranging from volunteers combing through evidence to businesses offering specials to raise money for the victims, and victims' families. In the aftermath of the worst domestic terror attack since September 11, 2001, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Tom Menino have announced the formation of The One Fund Boston, Inc. to help the people most affected by the tragic events that occurred in Boston at the marathon. We want to help. It is often during these types of horrible events that the true nature of a city's people becomes clear. The outpouring of support from individuals as well as businesses is an amazing example of this city's will to remain positive in the face of senseless tragedy. Show your support.
