Over the last 18 years, Last Thursday on Alberta has developed organically, from what was originally a visual art event aimed at promoting the street’s art galleries, into an amorphous celebration of art in all its forms. It has become the most entertaining way to buy art. Cut out the middleman and buy directly from the artist! Last Thursday happens year round with gallery openings and the restaurants changing out the art on their walls. Artists come out vending on the street when the weather allows. Alberta Street is closed during the peak season, June-August from 6 to 9 p.m. More info on LastThursdayonAlberta.com
