I was in second grade. My parents enrolled me in a little music class where I played piano and some orf Glockenspiel's Ilappone instr So I fell in love with percussion and piano and then when I got into fourth grade I chose to pursue percussion full-time. After Crane I would really love to teach elementary band or general music as well as perform. That's my double major really allows me to do both of those things. So I'd love to perform in a professional orchestra or on Broadway and teach during the day and get the best of both worlds. This whole school is all a big huge group of friends and starting music at a young age kids in band were my best friends and I still am friends with some of them today and some of them even came here to school with me. The community aspect of music is something that I think is huge for any student at any age.
