I began making candles as a hobby because of my love for crafts around four years ago. To be honest, I didn't know what I was doing and the candles looked horrible. But I wanted to learn. I started reading books and articles, watching a plethora of You-Tube videos and practicing every chance I got. Pretty soon my family moved and I just stopped making them. It wasn't until a few months ago that my daughter, Amirah Johnson, of Amirah's Opinions, came to me and said,"Mom, how do you run a business?" I immediately knew to choose candles as our joint business venture and it was then that Inspire Me Candles was born. We have been in business since February 2015. We make 100% all-natural soy candles and brand each one with a custom message or quote of the customers choice, allowing us to create our own niche market and cater to those who seek personalization in their products.
