Hamilton Perkins Collection was born out of a simple necessity: the need for affordable designer bags that look good, perform well, and make a difference. We founded Hamilton Perkins Collection to be an alternative for travelers on the go. We broke down the traditional walls of the retail industry and invited customers to share their comments and thoughts with us. We interviewed 1,000 travelers to start new authentic relationships and they told us how we could best serve their needs when re-engineering a classic travel bag. Most brands look at philanthropy and giving as an afterthought but we see it as an essential part of running a business today. In collaboration with our fabric supplier Thread, we are committed to supporting fair wages and delivering value to less developed nations by sourcing raw materials that divert plastic bottles, save water, add revenue, create jobs in parts of the world that need it the most. We track our progress and submit to rigorous third party review to ensure accuracy and accountability. Billions of plastic bottles are thrown away each year. The average person throws away as much as 180 pounds of plastic in 365 days. It takes 500-1,000 years for plastic to degrade. So I was recently approached by Hamilton Perkins Collection to try out their duffel bag. And it was really great timing when they reached out to me because t I can use it, I can use it to hold my gear. I can really do a comprehensive review of t And it worked out really well. So before I get into the specifics of the bag and what I t Hamilton Perkins is a bag company based out of Virginia, w A lot of my family hails from there. And what makes their duffel bags and their merchandise really cool is that they are all sustainably made. So the outer shell of the bag is made out of recycled plastic bottles, w It feels And then the inside is made out of recycled billboards, w So mine is red with some w As far as the review is concerned, I really I was really excited when they reached out to me because the idea of sustainability in the products that you purchase has always been interesting to me. I'm always down to try out new products that are created by companies with causes. Another thing that's really cool about the bag too is that it's a black-owned business, which, I'm always here to see what we're out in these streets doing, So I took the bag with me to Miami and it served as my carry-on the flight. And when I mean it served as my carry-on, I mean I stuffed that t So when I travel, I take a lot of tech with me because of the nature of what I do, being a video producer, a content creator, editor, whatever you want to call me. In that bag, I had t My sound, batteries, chargers, Water, I put a lot in that little duffel bag. And what was really cool was that it could hold all of it. Oh, my laptop, my tablet was in there. I can see now why people, why duffel bags are still a t Being a smaller person, you put it on your back, more strength on your back, that kind of t Can I, The other t So once I got to Miami, my husband and I spent an absorbent amount of time at the beach. And that bag ended up becoming our beach bag. Because the inside lining is billboard, it made it really easy to clean that bag out every time we'd go to and from the beach. All I literally had to do was kind of And if some of the sand didn't, I would just sprinkle some water in there and shake it out and it worked wonders. Let it dry overnight. Boom. Got a clean beach bag for the next day. So the bag is really versatile in that way. And that'somet The one gripe qualm I wish it had this thing that I would say about the bag is that I wish it had either a shoulder strap or in previous versions of the bag, it looks That would have been great.
