The Cotton Depot

Hey fellow treasure hunters, it's the antique duo back again. We are today looking at the fourth in our four part series of the antique stores of Monroe, Georgia, which calls itself the antiques capital of Georgia. That's in Walton County, Monroe, Georgia. Today we're looking at the Cotton Depot, which is located at 601 Madison Avenue. It's actually downstairs from Vintage Revival, which was the first in this series that we looked at. So you can hit two stores at one time from this one parking lot in this huge old cotton mill. The thing that j I would venture to say it's a little more interior than it is antiques, but I have to give them credit. It's just well organized, beautifully displayed booths that we've ever seen. You can see the nutcracker there. He came home with us on this trip. But everything is very well thought out, very well organized. And the couple times we've been there you can see lots of changes, lots of seasonal decor, people putting up their fall stuff or putting, There are some vintage things sprinkled in. You'll find some vintage clothing. You'll find glassware. You'll find a lot more, I would probably say vintage than maybe I would antiques. If you'really looking for antiques, this might not be the place for you, but if you're just looking for a cool place to browse and The staff was very helpful when we bought the big nutcracker. They were very helpful in trying to help us get him out of there. He was very heavy and large and we had to go up some steps, but they were great. I feel I didn't see a lot of sales. There were not a lot of sales going on But again, the things were a little more upscale, a little more interior based, more so than actual antiques. But again, well organized, very comfortable, smells very nice in there. Really a neat place to stop in. If you spend a little time in the one upstairs, this one is a good kind of change in difference. I'll give you something to contrast those antiques upstairs with.
