com. I'm here at Friedman's Barbecue in Austin, Texas, 3-South by Southwest. The Goodland Records Showcase just ended. Goodland Records is a local Milwaukee record label. It has some Milwaukee artists on there. Midnight Rewrises on there, Brett Newske. Also Josh Burrwanger is on there and Arc And t And it seemed The crowd here was about 70, 80 strong throughout the day. It was kind of a good vibe, good backyard vibe. I was told that there was a couple people that came here from Pledge Shot Records, so that's good, so they kind of check out the demands. And yeah, it just seemed I talked to a couple of people who said that they came here because they wanted to get away from downtown for so many days, just chaos and craziness. They wanted to see some music relax, sit, and t Probably also helped with their free PBR as well. But there are also some really good performances here. Some of the best ones I've seen that band just had a really fun electric vibe to it, and then the electricity went out. And they had to kind of scramble, but they did a couple acoustic t It was a lot of fun, and apparently they were talking with a band manager who's going to book them an opening show at House of Blues. That's what John P So good for them because they just. . . But I t It's not actually on Goliath Records, they just have a song on there. It's kind of a punk rock band a little bit from O And it's interesting because they have a really interesting sense of h Their vocals are really hoarse. The part playing could be really raw. But the lyrics, the lyrics are. . . they kind of cut. They cut you. They really touch you. There's a lot of lyrics on there about regrets and longing. And even though the band was joking, that songs were about Obamacare and girls and civil rights and things like that, And the songs, however, there was an actual kind of sincerity there that was surprisingly touc You want to know the truth.
