Walmart Mentor

I have a subscriber that had made a comment about that he had gotten hired and looking forward to it pretty excited, but wasn't sure what to think what it would be Back when I started, we only had a mentor for five days, one week. And so I'm thinking the program'still pretty close to the same. I'm not a mentor. I haven't really talked to anybody about what they're doing now other than just conversation between, But I can tell you that it's not something to look at in a negative light. When I came here, I was the type of person that I didn't want to be told how, I mean, heck, that's why I became a truck driver in the first place. I just want to be able to run my own show for the most part. Well, Walmart's not looking to do that. Basically, a mentor is there, someone to help you get kind of get the hang of how it goes here at Walmart or in some terms are said, the Walmart way. Basically, And so And the way I got explained to me was is that, Obviously, you can drive, you made it this far. A mentor is not for that. A mentor is there to be for you as support. Well, they matched me up with a lady that had been driving since she was She had been with Walmart for maybe 10 years at that point. I'm not even sure if it was that long. And she had a really positive attitude. She helped immensely. Some of the best conversation I had, she ended up being a really good friend. Since then, she's passed on, but she ended up being one of my best friends here at Walmart. And I was calling her, Of course, we talked all the time just to have a conversation, but you don't want to look at a mentorship as a negative thing. It really is something in your favor. For example, I mean, you're going to work somewhere where you don't know anybody. And, And this person is assigned to you to be there for you. And I can pretty much promise they're going to tell you, Don't even worry about it. If you have any issues, you question anything, just give me a call. And it really is a good experience. If you can imagine, well, the fact that we're truck drivers, and we spend most of our time by ourselves in the truck, it actually is kind of a treat to have that couple of weeks where there'someone to talk to about, And it's really a unique situation. I encourage everyone to pay very close to their very close attention to their mentor and just look at this in a positive light. It really is for your benefit. And it crossed my mind to do the mentorship. But, And but I know that I respect the process a lot. So if you're wondering what it's Just know it's all for your benefit. They're there to help you.
