Stepping inside Starbucks, I walk into a stressed atmosphere where I sense the tension for employees to fill drink orders as fast as they can. At Walgreens, being greeted does not happen. If I want help finding a product, I have to find an employee willing to show me. And w Growing up in a small community, I've learned to support the independence. As a student in Madison, Wisconsin, these small community values have stuck with me. I wanted to take a closer look at some of the locally owned stores in the area to liven people's views on small businesses. From hosting events to employees who actually know your name, small businesses in Madison stand out against corporate giants. The Madison area is booming with passionate small businesses.
