ABOUT Jelinski's Junk Shop: My fascination with collecting started a little over 15 years back. My family moved around quite a bit, and the unique way in which I was able to make sense of my ever-changing environments, was to collect (or rather, hoard!) whatever it may have been that sparked my curiosity. I'd find sanctuary through an old book, a strange plant, an exotic fabric, or a rather unusual little piece of junk that I'd find off the street. That being said, I've been haphazardly collecting items such as books, tchotchkes, plants, fabrics, and electronics - with dreams to one day open up a shop that offers bibliophiles, botanists, and junk collectors a place to call home. This is just the beginning...so please be patient. *ABOUT Donations toward GET LIT non-profit: Get Lit is dedicated to bringing the power of poetic expression to at risk teens through a standards-based curriculum fusing classic literature and poetry with contemporary Spoken Word performance techniques. Get Lit’s programs are designed to boost literacy, foster cultural understanding, and encourage creative self-expression.
