Introduction by Matlock the Hare. Welcome dear reader to the Magic Cottage, home to both me and my many wondrous stories. Before you step inside you'll no doubt have some questions I now hope to answer. Let us start at the beginning with me, your h My name is Matlock and I am the magical hare of Winch at Dale. My days are spent caring for the Dale's many creatures, bringing them healing potions and performing sad saculis spells with my Hawthorn wand. However, night time mostly finds me here, safe within the thick stone walls that have already welcomed so many generations of magical hares and will continue to do so long after I have journeyed to the ganticus ethereal realm that awaits us all. In many ways I Home, eyes wide with excitement just as I did so many years ago. Whilst the creatures of Winch at Dale are born here, we magical hares are an exception, taking our first breaths as leverettes in your world that we call the Great Beyond. Magic both chooses and brings us here when the time is right, where we begin a new life, learning and understanding the ways of this sad saculously enchanted place under the expert tutelage of an older magical hair. It is a task that will be my pleasure to also perform when the time comes.
