Artisinal Cheese and specialty groceries
Hi, this is Tim Sarr from the Kent Cheese Mounder. Many times, people come into the shop asking for meat, but they've never actually tried the meat. Meat is an interesting alcohol. It is brewed by fermenting honey with, usually with water, liquid, The flavor of meat by itself is not very strong, so most meats have a little something added to it. We'really lucky because right here in Kent, we have access to a local meatery, which is just down in Suffield, about 12 miles from here, called Crafted. This is Crafted's kind of n They sell all year long, and it is called Pollination. It's flavored with blackberries and a little bit of hops. The hops are used mostly for an aromatic effect, so they don't have a very strong bittering effect, So this is a fantastic, really easy drinking meat that I will recommend to anybody who hasn'tried a meat before. If you haven'tried meat and you'd We carry this all the time, and it's a great way to get started drinking meat. Now, you might say, well, I've got a wonderful meat to drink. What's a great cheese that'll go along with that? And I would say this cheese right here, which is called Grayson. Grayson is made by a family in Iowa. It is a seasonal cheese. They only make this cheese when their cows are out in the pasture, actually eating grass. It has some great fresh flavors to it. And we use this cheese with this meat in a pairing just a couple of weeks ago, and just the two of them together work fabulously. So if you're looking to try a meat and you'd Have a great day.
