You're in a new dime store which is in the heart of Brookside. The dime store has been here in this area since 1939 and basically what it is that five in dimes from days gone by so we pretty much have everything you could possibly want in here. Dime store started in 1939. This place used to be basically your general store. This would be your one stop shop for everything. I grew up in this area and so I came here as a little child. I would come down here on Saturdays with my parents while they were shopping up at the grocery store. The store closed in 2006 and then it reopened in 2007 as the new dime store meaning same kind of concept with all the products and everything but just kind of new and updated the feel a little bit. We carry pretty much everything. We have greeting cards. We have candles. We have housewares. We carry a lot of Sterilite products. We have yarn. We have ribbon by the yard. We have knitting needles. Pretty much everything you need we have here. We are so proud of our ribbon by the yard section. I think we carry the best selection of ribbon by the yard in the city. I don't even think anybody sells ribbon by the yard anymore. They also come here for a lot of our greeting cards now. We have a lot of local artists that do some of our greeting cards and they also come here for our oil cloth. The services that we offer at the new dime store we do in-house imprinting on stationery and invitations. We do party invitations, cocktail parties, birthday parties, baby showers. We can print all of our napkins. We have several types of styles to pick from and many colors. We also have classes and those are usually typically around holidays so Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, we're making cute little crafts so they can kind of make and take type feel. We also offer free gift rack. I get a lot of people that come back and said they used to run these floors and it's the same exact floors that were back then in 1939. They remember the floors. They just love coming back. They just remember it and they just love looking around and seeing it. They're also bringing their grandkids so that tells you all these generations that are coming back and they just love it.
