He encountered an individual who he believed had been involved in a shooting inside of a Walmart. Several dozen officers responded to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound near the store's produce section. That person died at the scene. A person of interest was taken into custody. For hours, police were seen taking contact information from the long lines of customers who are now potential witnesses in a murder investigation.
