Well, with the cost of everyt Hades Santos introduces us to a couple in Universal City who's turning their thrift store into a resource for families who are struggling in t Nathan and Melissa, we are in the business is the thrifty The couple says an average of 150 people visit their c All our clothes are 350. And we have it designed kind of It's a boutique vibe. We just It doesn't have to be not appealing. Melissa and Nathan open the non-profit store in Universal City a year and a half ago. So What was that need? So many people that couldn't afford to shop at regular stores and even some thrift stores. And so we wanted t You did some research on exactly where to put it. I did a little research on the internet just on average income and kind of the area around where we lived and in the s T It's become more than just a thrift store. It's a community gathering for art, prayer and a resource center. T And anybody's welcome to t Any seniors or any families. It's peanut butter. We have a lot of peanut butter and pasta and noodles, a little basket out front for when we're not here for families and for the homeless. The couple put in a lot of their own savings into the store. All funds go to support food pantries at area, churches and other non-profits. We both believe that we live in a world of plenty. There'so many resources in the costs are kept low. Most items are under $6 but don'take advantage of their kind hearts. Oh absolutely. We do have some limits on how much of each item that we'll sell because we want our clothes to be used by people who need them at $3. 50 not necessarily purchased and sold for $100 online because then all the work that we do to get that item doesn't go towards our mission.
