There's nothing The original Austin's grocery has been around for 68 years and 36 of those were spent at its current location in Allaway. And now the owners are hanging up their hats. A Green Bay grocery staple is passing on the baton to someone else. It's the beginning of a new chapter. New owners are taking over the original Austin's grocery store. But family is so deeply oriented here, staff isn't worried. I can just tell that it's going to stay the way it is. Everybody's going to know everybody and it's just, A trip to Austin's is more than picking up items off your grocery list. It's a chance to catch up with old friends. It's an icon of Allaway. In a way, I t Richard's father, Charles, started the business in 1953. Little did he know he was leaving a legacy in the Green Bay area. He has now created a second home. Most of my crew, they know everybody that comes in here by name. And that just doesn't happen in most places. James Gilmore has been shopping at Austin since the 1970s when it was super-Rons. They have basically everyt I have that connection with neighborhood people and people that are in my parish and I just cherish that. One of Gilmore's neighbors knows the family who are now the new owners. My thinking is they are basically from the same stock the Austins were from, How are you doing?
