Kilwins was founded in 1947 in Petoskey MI, a small town on Lake Michigan’s northern shore, by Don and Katy Kilwin. It originally began as a local bakery, but soon morphed into a candy and ice cream confectionary. Rick and BJ welcome you to come in, discover and experience our shop. Take in the show as Mackinac Island fudge, caramel apples and other mouth-watering treats are being created on the marble slab right before you. You’ll find glass cases filed with Kilwins famous hand-crafted small batch truffles, and many other delectable confections. Also available will be 24 unique flavors of Kilwin’s Super Premium Original Recipe ice cream as well as Kilwins fabulous Celebration Ice Cream Cakes, available in 5 varieties. When the weather cools, there will be Kilwins’ own delicious hot chocolate prepared using our very own shaved chocolate, as well as cider and other hot drinks.
