The Substation

There's only one substitution. Whether the new place is better or worse, it's definitely going to be different. It was a big deal if we get to perform there. We had freedom to organize the way we want to, During the early shows, you can see old people bring kids, normal people come just to see out of curiosity. It is always full. You can see people crowd there, all kinds of people. That's how they actually expose the bands, the musicians, the artists better, I've seen Mr. KPK collect next after the show. How can you not love the place the person who runs it is dead down to earth? He talk to you the same, I think it was us to know that you have a home here to express and expose your music. Being a child in the sea of youth and adults and just seeing a whole new world through the Substitution Garden, you could do whatever you wanted. And instead of a yes or no, you have things You might fail, but it's alright. I think it is necessary for Singapore to have a bit of a playground, a bit of a rough house for the artistic and creative communities. Substitution was once a power substation. There's energy here. So maybe that's why it attracts the right kind of energy. In a way, I think this is the heartbeat of Singapore.
