Tattered Rabbit Farm was established in 2003. We have always love repurposed, vintage and architectural items and of course birds. Ray would build me funky one of a kind birdhouses for our gardens and yard and people would ask where I got them. I would tell them Ray made them and of course they wanted him to make some for them too. It seemed like a no brainer and that is how it began. Several thousand birdhouses later we began adding some other items we thought would be of interest. African Baskets, Gourd Birdhouses, Antique and Unique items, some art work and now BlueTooth converted vintage tube radios. It takes a family and everyone has their part. Ray obviously is the designer, builder and honestly does the most. I do the picking, shopping, designing and marketing. Our oldest daughter Aimee does some painting and goes to the flea markets with me every Sunday morning. The youngest daughter Amanda does the Facebook, some baking, and sales and her husband Keith is my heavy lifting set up guy. Even our cat Marty Ray is the greeter and head of pest control in the barn. We started opening on Saturday mornings during the summer months and/or by appointment but primarily we will continue to hold our two annual events each year. It is fun to do and rewarding to see the collection of birdhouses, radios and other items we gather displayed and to see everyone eager to find just the right thing for their home, garden or gift giving needs.
