Africa has always been on my heart. I cannot explain to you how I felt it, but I knew God was calling me to serve over in this country. However, year after year, my schedule and finances proved it difficult to find the opportunity to make it happen. In early 2015, I got a call from my Aunt saying she found a mission trip to Africa for me to join. And as if that wasn't enough, she and her husband wanted to support and sponsor my trip. Had it not been for her giving heart and desire to help those who wanted to spread the Gospel, I would have never been able to take that trip in May. God had placed Africa on my heart many years ago and I had finally been able to accept that call. I want to help others like my Aunt and Uncle helped me. I want to help other young adults answer their calling. That's why I created Splatter & Shine. While my creations may not be perfect, I hope some may love them enough to support the grander picture. For every purchase from Splatter & Shine, 20% of your purchase will go to the Splatter & Shine scholarship fund. This fund will then go to a young adult that needs financial support for attending a mission trip. The inspiration for this little store comes from Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
