The Decorators House

Every two years, a local private residence is transformed by area decorators as a fundraiser for the Col T 8 million. I sort of feel Through a lottery, the designers selected the rooms that they decorate on their own dime and some room choices were more popular than others. It's done by applying gold leaf on the entire surface and then it's a series of colors of varnish and it takes several days because of the drying time in between. After the show the designers will undo any changes the owners don't want. Public tours of the 20th Decorators Show House begin on Tuesday and continue until May 12. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
