Well, Main Street in Salado is a hub of unique spaces for tourists and locals to enjoy. You're going to go door to door up and down the corridor, but the shops on Main is one place that'll give you a run for your money. Box 44's Earl Stoutemire gives us a look inside the store and breaks down what they have to offer. Adam MG, imagine you running errands outside. It's hot. No one has what you need and you're hungry. Amy Young co-owner of the shops on Main in downtown Salado says her shop is the one stop spot for everything you need. The shops on Main have been a staple in Salado for 11 years. Amy Young says she started off as a baby clothing vendor in this space with her mom and sister when it was called Southern Comfort. We started off in a very back small corner. Opportunity presented itself later down the line for us to take it over and own it. And that's kind of what we did. Nearly 20 different vendors make up the shops on Main. Young's goal for the store is to help local entrepreneurs and have something for everyone. Women's, men's, handmade products, seasonings, jewelry, children's, you name it, gag gifts. We have it all, literally. If you need a shopping break, Marketplace Cafe is in the back of the building and Young says they're known for their crepes. I got the Texas Monta Cristo here and I'm going to do a quick little taste test. This is so good. You got to try it out for yourself. I would probably say the best savory crepe is going to be our chicken bacon pesto, which is amazing. And I would say the sweet crepe, probably the Southern apple. The shops on Main also donates to local organizations and has the loyalty program for regular customers. Future projects at the shops on Main is to expand its Marketplace Cafe and host more events for the community. In Soledo, Earl Stadmeyer, Fox 24 News.
