All wood has natural dents, dings, knots, I take no action to cover or remove any flaws as it adds to the appearance of the final product. For a more expensive type of wood (which can be arranged) is just whatever the difference is between the pine and the other type of wood, like red oak, poplar, birch etc. Please let me know if you would like to upgrade your wood to more luxurious kind. Pine wood does come with knots in the wood. Which adds a lot of character to the products.
