Old Whaling Company

All of our cents are coastal. We kind of say it's from memories from a past vacation. Old Wailing Company is a Bath & Body brand in Charleston. My name is Kelly Waldron and I am the CEO at Old Wailing Company. We started out with soaps. We then released body butters, bath bombs, candles, and shower steamers. Our products are formulated to be super gentle and nourishing, so a lot of people that have more sensitive skin are able to use all of our products. Our soaps are made by mixing our oil blend with color, fragrance, and lye. Then whisking the waved top and leaving them to saponify overnight before cutting them and letting them cure. Charleston has played a huge part in our growth. Being at the Charleston City Market, we see so many people pass through there every day and I think that's one of the huge reasons that we have grown. We really wanted to create a space at King Street where people would feel welcome and happy. The colors of our packaging really emit that happy feeling. And honestly, one of my favorite things has been watching our employees grow because some of them have come in here just as young women mostly through us being strong leaders. They're able to grow and become stronger women themselves. Next time you're in Charleston, we would love to see you!
