Today we're going to show the 4-pound vinyl foams we carry on FiberGlass. com. 4-pound vinyl foams are intended for use in applications where a balance needs to be maintained between strength and weight savings. To achieve a custom fit to your laminate, vinyl foams can easily be thermo formed with the use of a heat gun or oven. Due to their closed-cell structure, our 4-pound vinyl foams make a great sandwich core material for composite parts. These foams are rigid, water resistant, and they resist res and uptake. We carry two thicknesses of 4-pound vinyl foam. Our 1493 is 3 1u20448 of an inch thick, and our 1494 is a 1u20442 inch thick. Both of these are available as a 32 x 48 inch sheet. A laminate made with our 3 1u20448 inch thick n Applications for 1u20442 inch thick vinyl foam include boat halls, exterior panels, and other structural components.
