Jordandené started as a fun way to put a nerdy twist on traditional vintage goods. Our first product, the geek chic apron, makes all normally-mundane household tasks a little better. Even the worst chores (dishes!) are a little better if you can do them as Batman or R2D2, right? Not wanting to be confined to the kitchen, we now make all kinds of subtly geeky products that appeal to our nerdy insides but aren’t too extreme for everyday life. Our focus is combining a few of our favorite things with good design and high quality materials. No cheap plastic, comic sans, or boxy graphic tees here. We’d be lying if we said settling in Brooklyn didn’t affect the way we do business. We try to keep our process as eco-friendly as possible, from the inks we choose to the way we package our products. I run Jordan's today w I actually got really lucky. I married a designer who has really gorgeous hand lettering so all of my designs, I either choose books from my favorite movies or sometimes I do contests where I talk to my friends and customers and we can, everyone's books on their favorite. So once I've chosen the book, he actually hand letters, hand brushes, vocal, quote, he's handed it. I have a screen printing studio in Brooklyn so a friend, my friend Kira Solver and I print them all. And yeah, that's it. Start to finish. My favorite fan of 100% is Harry Potter. All of my tank tops are my favorites. I have a really long Sherlock quote and maybe on the side of the needles but don't I find my inspiration from things that I So I started out with what my favorite books were, so Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and my favorite movies, let's be honest, I watch my more TV than I read. And since then I've gotten more involved in the fandom community so I draw a lot of inspiration from people that I meet and other nerds who I t And so I follow them, follow things that they My first big success moment was I did my very first convention w It was Misty Khan in New Hamps So seeing my stuff in a store felt And then I also was really lucky to be able to sell a product on ThinkGeek and so that was another time that I felt I love mixing fandoms. I t I almost always wear different accessories with a different s A lot of my favorite pants are black milk leggings so I will totally wear a middle earth pair of leggings with a Harry Potter s And I love it.
