The saddle you pick will depend on what you want to do with your horse. Are you going to be roping, barrel racing, trail riding or some other sport? There'so many to choose from. First we have the roping saddle. It's built tough for the everyday needs of the cowboy or cowgirl. Combined strength with beautiful tooling. Next we have the barrel saddles. They're built for the speed events. They have a taller horn, a higher back on them, a nice deep seat. They are meant to keep you in the saddle when you're scooting around those barrels. The designs run all the way from a simple tooling up to the fancy inlay and lots of blame. For you non-competitive riders, which is most of us, there are trail saddles. They come in a variety of styles and materials. Some have flexible trees that can create a custom fit for your horse. They have extra padding in the seat and the tuckers even have a gel seat. Probably your second most important piece of equipment is going to be your pad. They come in a variety of sizes and shapes just This one has a cut back and a built up area over the shoulders.
