The Urban Farmhouse

Hello and welcome to Business Monday at the Urban Farmhouse. I'm Renee Fisher with BACO and I'm Craig Forbes with Alpha Omega Wealth Management. BACO and Alpha Omega are beginning a new series of interviews that are going to be conducted here in Richmond, Virginia. It's really to promote and showcase the various business leaders that we have in the community, as well as give everybody the opportunity and chance to meet and hear from them in more of an intimate setting. We actually are very fortunate to have our very own talented VCU Brand Center that will be filming all of these interviews and we're excited to learn more about the different business leaders in Richmond. I think what everybody's asking is why Craig is Virginia, if not more specifically Richmond, Virginia, a special place to do business in the community. Great question, Renee. Let's talk about that from the Virginia perspective first. Virginia for at least a decade has been recognized in the region and nationally as the n S. in any survey, any opinion poll that's been taken. Great for Virginia and in fact it carries over locally to Richmond. In Richmond we have a lot of very high growth companies that are small, medi Some have been excited to move to this area because of our friendliness towards business and our ability to organically grow these companies. We have a lot of business financing available, we have a lot of capital available for h We have lots of advice, we have lots of coaches, we have lots of places and lots of talent in lots of areas to make your business very successful here is why so many have done so well. So given all that success in this area, Renee, why do you think people ought to tune into these interviews? Well we definitely have lots of advice and lots of intel into what you should do and how you should work your business. But I think more specifically these interviews will be short, insightful and you can learn a lot from a brief amount of time that you're going to learn about these business leaders and get more of a vibe on what's unique and what's happening in central Virginia, the Richmond, Virginia area. I think more importantly we get to do it in one of those fast growing companies here, the Urban Farmhouse.
