Hi, I'm Erin, a stylist at Bella Bridesmaids, and today we're here to talk about how to take your measurements. Whenever possible, we do recommend that you have your measurements taken professionally, and we would most certainly welcome you to one of our 50 Bella Bridesmaids showrooms around the country. But, if you can't get in to see us, let's just do a quick video on how to take your measurements if you don't have access to one of our experts. For the bust measurement, you're going to take the fullest part of the bust. You can relax your arms now. You want to make sure that your tape measure is parallel to the floor, and when you relax your arms and you take the measurement, you want to make sure that you leave enough room to leave room for breathing. For the waist measurement, we're going to start at the smallest part of the waist, not where you wear your jeans, about two inches above your belly button, and usually at the natural part of your waist where you bend. So for the waist measurement, again, we're going to take the smallest part of the waist. But don't forget, this is your best friend's wedding. You're going to want to eat, drink, and dance the night away, so be sure not to pull too tight. We're going to take the largest part of the hip, including a bit at the back side, and again, make sure the tape measure is parallel to the floor. You're going to want to remember to include some room for range of motion, sitting, standing, again, dancing. It's as easy as that. You'll use this bust, waist, and hip measurement to compare your measurements to the designer size chart to choose the size that you walked on the island.
