Well, every day is a good day for bargain shopping, especially today. It's National Thrift Store Day. And Marty is checking out Ryan's Relics in Perry Hall. Hey Marty. Well, hey, We are in Perry Hall, just south of Nottingham. We're frankly, if I had a golf club in my hand, a seminar and I could hit the Beltway, just north of the Beltway here on Bolero. Yes. Ryan and Stu Chandler of Ryan's Relics. Were having some fun earlier about it. Kind of What is the difference between antique and a secondhand item? A lot of people think secondhand items, they think more thrift stores, just use cups, use glasses, just tables from IKEA, stuff Antiques usually, not always antique, but more quality, more vintage, higher end stuff, name brand. But we're not in antique store here. I would say this is more secondhand. Well it is, and it is secondhand, but a lot of the things here go way back in time. There are things from the 1800s, the artifacts of our history here in Baltimore and nationally. We actually get European pieces as well. So there'so much warmth of history as well as here in this kind of business. You never know what's going to come through the door. Well you just showed us something crazy here. This table seats You jokingly said 30, but I mean this could easily seat 15, 12, 14 people. It's a big table and we get all different types of stuff. Big giant banquet tables, the small dinettes. But when did you decide to put the leap of faith into, we're going to primarily do second hand thrift if you will, furniture? That was actually Ryan's call. He was doing small flea markets and smaller things, going to auction and selling things at auction that he was purchasing. But then he drove up the street and said, we're going to take it to another level. I need a retail outlet for all the things that I have that I can't really move. So there it was, he rented a place right up the street. It's his first place. How many years you've been doing this? A little over 20. This 2004, we opened a first store. This is the second store we opened in 2011. But you also have some cool chatskis around too. Yep, we do. All kinds of interesting stuff. When someone comes, is there ever a time you go, that's cool, it's going on with me? Yeah, yeah. There's all kinds of neat stuff sometimes, a little corner. But it makes us bounce back sometimes. National second hand and thrift shop day. Who knew? Me and a boy with that. P Yeah, phone is ringing. We're at Ryan's Relics. Do you have a website real quick? It is. It's ryanzrelex. com. Got it. We'll be back next half hour with more. We're going to look at some cool stuff because the sign on the door says inside, cool stuff.
