You want to sample any? Bees are awesome. The coolest thing about bees is how they work. It's A lot of people think that anything that stings you is a bee, They're our main pollinators. If we didn't have them, then we'd be basically a lot of potatoes and nothing with much color. It's not just do you It's if there aren't bees, there's no food. There's hardly any feral bees still around, so it's mainly beekeepers who are the ones who are helping to keep bees alive. So that's what we try to do is support our local beekeepers as well as some from all over the world who really care about the bees. Sam Johnson, the owner of Bear Hug Honey Company. We specialize in local honey as well as some coming from all over the world. 90% of our infuse honeys, I do myself. All the pepper ones, I do myself. I love things a little spicy. So we work with local farmers. We pick out some of the prettiest peppers and do some pepper mash and infuse it that way. I love being in the kitchen infusing honey and then working with the local peppers and just the scent that makes. I cook the most with that one. Just mix it in, add some sweet, smoky spice in there. We do the tasting bar to show people what all goes into making a jar of honey. We try to make it as interactive and educational as possible. We want you to experience the tasting bar as well as give you a little knowledge. Sam's worked really hard at getting the word out and going to farmers markets and other venues, craft fairs, and stuff Whether you buy anything or not, you're going to walk away learning a little bit more about honeybees. Being able to share that with people is super cool. We have young kids who come in and say, that's always fun to see. Turn them on at a young age, then how cool honey is. But then we also have older people who come in and try honey that takes them back to a memory that they've had. It'something cool that brings a lot of people together.
