I've been selling and staging homes for about nine years now. And I will tell you that statistics show that if you stage your home, it will sell faster and also for more money. So a lot of people when they think about staging, they're thinking a professional company coming in is going to cost thousands of dollars. And yeah, you can do that, but you don't have to. You can get your home ready in a very affordable way. And I'm going to suggest that you always start with your walls. You want a neutral, flat paint on the walls. You want to get rid of all your personal items, photographs, your collections. And basically you want to set your home up to where a buyer can walk in and see themselves living in that home. So what you really want to do after you get your walls painted and you get everything cleared out is you want to accessorize. And you want to bring in some accessories that update your home and make a statement. So here we are at Next New Consignment, my favorite little resale shop. I love this place. And as you can see, the owner, Pam, has set it up where it makes it quite easy to shop. She's merchandised it in colors and styles. It just makes it a much easier way to come in and look around and pick out what you need for staging. Come on back. We're going to introduce you to Pam, the owner. This is Pam Kenny. She's the owner of the resale shop. And she's going to tell you exactly how the consignment works. We do it by appointment. When you bring your items in, we go through them and we only take what we think that we can sell. The more updated stuff is the stuff that sells very well. After you bring it in, we price it. We do 50-50 with you. We want to keep it fresh. So after 120 days, if it doesn't sell, we give it back to you. Just so our store is fresh every time someone comes in. So we've been here almost 13 years. We're going on our 13th year this year. Wow. Hours are Monday through Saturday. Friday we're here from 10 to 5. On Saturdays we're here from 10 to 3.
