Mistress Brewing Company of Ankeny has officially closed its doors. The company made the announcement by placing a sign on their building. It read quote, it is with enormous sadness and regret that we have to announce the closing of the Mistress Brewing Company Taproom. After four years of taproom operations and six years of making good beer behaving badly, we will bring this chapter of our wonderful dream to an end. They went on to say the pandemic was something they never fully recovered from and also cited rising costs as part of the closure. Still unclear what the Ankeny location will be used for in the future.
