Techna Clip

I wanted to do a review today of the Techna clip. And first of all, before I go any further, I want to ask you that if you find anything useful in this video, please do me a favor and Just let me know that you found something useful. So this clip here is a little clip that attaches directly to the gun to allow you to carry the gun as is as opposed to using a holster. Now there are many reasons to use a holster versus using a clip So it depends on how you want to carry if you want to carry in a holster, if you want to carry with a clip But this clip is a neat little thing that gives you an option to carry in this manner. Now I'm not going to show you how you put the clip on, but it comes in a little package It comes with the clip itself and the hardware that you need to put it on. Basically all you do is you pop out the, if it's going to focus, you pop out the pin that's back here, you replace it with the one they give you, which is a threaded pin. It's threaded on this side and it'secure on this side. So you put the pin in, you attach the clip to the gun and you stick the screw in. Now one thing you'll notice in the reviews is that the clip does not actually line up, the hole in the clip does not line up with the hole where the pin is exactly. And that's fine, that's done intentionally. They do that so that when you put the screw in and you tighten it, it pulls the clip into the gun and makes it secure. And this little thing is in there, it does not go anywhere. It comes out So I'm going to give you the positives and negatives, the pros and cons for a little clip First the pros. This clip, I don't fill any wiggle room. If you want to, you can put some Loctite or something on there when you screw it in. Another pro is that it allows you to carry without a holster if you want to do that and it does stay securely where I put it. I carry appendix myself and I've not had any issues with it. I stick it in there and it stays where I want it to stay. This thing was about 22-23 bucks on Amazon. It seems a little pricey for what it is, but I'd buy it again if I had to because I think it's a well-made product. Cons. There's nothing that's going to beat the security of a holster. You stick this thing in the holster and it won't go in right now because the clip's on, but you stick it in and the trigger guard is covered, the safety if you have one is covered, and it's not going to accidentally come off. That does remain an issue with a clip If you're going to carry with a clip, you have to decide if you want to carry with one of the chamber, which most people recommend, or if you want to carry empty chamber. There's nothing to protect the gun from accidentally the safety coming off and the trigger being pulled by mistake. That'something you have to decide if you want to carry with just a clip versus a holster. Another con is ease of draw. You get a clip like this is going to take a little bit longer to draw, so if you go to draw it, you may be f In a scenario where you need a weapon quickly, that's not exactly a positive thing. But overall, this is an option for you if you want to use it. I have noticed that it's very comfortable to carry. You can stand up, sit down, and you sit down with a holster and these things kind of dig into you, whether you have a molded kydex or a bolter on holster or a good quality leather holster, they kind of dig into you when you sit down. It does not happen with this clip because you can just kind of shift the gun around in your belt easily and it's a lot more comfortable to carry. So there's my view on the Techniclip.
