Diplomat Deli

What's up everybody? So as you can see, we are in the car. We are at Diplomat Deli right here off Highway 31 in Vestavia. Yep. They started the curbside service, our outside service yesterday. Yep. And Diplomat Deli has been here in Vestavia for many, many, many years, as long as I can remember. And so We've even talked about in our households situations where we just may not cook as much as we do. We cook a fair amount. And yeah, help support the restaurants. Obviously now with the new regulations, whatever they are, nobody can eat on the premises of a restaurant. So that still leaves drive-thrus. And I know there'some, so a lot of nicer restaurants that aren't going to bring, I know a lot of them are starting to close down, which affects the waiters and the tips and all that as well as the cooks and all that. But make sure you check out all the restaurants that do offer curbside pickup. They were crowded. I mean, yeah, not as crowded as they were today, but yeah, obviously they have options, options where you can walk up and order just right outside and they bring it out. You can call and go pick it up or you can call and then bring it out to your car. So with a Diplomat Deli, from what we could see, most people had called ahead. We didn't. We walked up and still got our food real fast. But most people walked up, they were only, Right. And or you can call from your phone, I mean, from your car, right? And they'll bring it right out to you. So what did you have today? I had, what was it called? I mean, what was it? The Rubin. Did you get the Rubin? It was a hot Rubin. Yeah. Hot Rubin, but on the white bread because I don't So white bread. And I mainly got it because it came with slaw and a little slaw. So I put that on top. It was delicious. Even got a little potato salad on the side. Very good. So I recommend it. I got a Philly Steak sandwich. Can't beat the Philly. I've had all kinds of sandwiches here through the years, but never have eaten in my car before. Right. So get it. Can't eat outside. Unfortunately, but you can take it home and eat outside. It's your house on the back deck since spring's coming. Eat it in your car. Keep your distance, even though I guess we're not technically, but we're in a car. So other than that, and make sure you support, I know a lot of restaurants also are going to, they're starting to offer delivery options. So maybe even some job opportunities there to keep some waiters and stuff in so they can just deliver the food. So Diffle Matt Deli this week, Birmingham Eat. So there's a motorcycle going to get it.
