Hi, I'm Ashley Land and welcome to another episode of Firehouse Foods. Today I'm at Station 7 with firefighter Chad Hill. How are you? Good, how are you? Good. Can you tell us a little bit about where Station 7 is located, what you do? Station 7 is off of Lake Ridge, you say I'm by the lake, obviously, and we do mostly dive stuff out here, diving off the boat, and we do all the lake operations. Okay, gotcha. Can you tell us about what we're making today, where the recipe came from? Yeah, I don't know where the recipe came from, but it's cilantro lime salmon. Okay. I'm gonna do it on the grill. Sounds good. Well, let's go ahead and get started. Alright. Okay, Chad, cilantro lime salmon. What is the first step? We're just gonna prepare the fish first, put a little bit of salt and pepper on it, and you just let it sit while we make the, I guess, the sauce that you put on top of it before we grill it. Okay. Going to deseed a jalapeno pepper. Okay. For some of those girls that can't, don't What? Not y'all. So we take a jalapeno pepper, a clove of garlic, I've already zested, took the zest off a lime, I'll cut this lime up because we use the lime juice also, and put it all in a blender and blend it up. Now you said you didn't know where this recipe came from. No, I don't remember where. Okay. So you've made it a good time? We got it from, I've made it several times. And the guys like it, I ass The guys That's the lime zest? That's the lime zest. With a salt and then we'll blend it. Alright now that everything's blended we'll just spread that sauce on top of the fish. Are you looking for a certain consistency? Well, it smells good. It tastes pretty good. Just mirror it on there And you cook it until it's done. Usually about 10 or 15 minutes. On the grill. Cool. Okay, so the salmon and potatoes are done. So now we get to taste it. That's really good. I think this might be my favorite dish. Good. You win the award. Thanks. Well, if you'd org slash Firehouse Foods. Well Chad, we appreciate you being with us today. The food was great. Thanks. I'll probably be back soon. Make sure to visit us for another tasty episode of Firehouse Foods.
