Dallas Grilled Cheese Company is dedicated to reimagining the perfect comfort food, grilled cheese sandwiches, in a casual, relaxed atmosphere.
Grilled Cheese Sandwiches are the great equalizer. Everyone’s had one. Rich, poor; young, old; boy or girl. There is a Grilled Cheese sandwich memory for all. Grilled Cheese is egalitarian and universal; genuine, foodie-inspired, hipster-approved and all things in-between. The crunch of the bread, the warmth of the cheese. Deliciousness. It’s the honest, quick, at-home meal Mom made with sliced American on Wonder Bread, and it’s the elevated dish found on museum brunch menus made with brie and apples. It is yesterday’s world of Beaver Cleaver and The Jetsons; it is today’s world of local produce and international flavors. Grilled Cheese was, is and will always be, a smile. We’re the Dallas Grilled Cheese Co., and we intend to do it better. Pay us a visit. We think you’ll agree.
The Bishop Arts section of Dallas is host to a lot of really, really good restaurants we're learning. Not the least, which is the Dallas Grilled Cheese Company. Got the tip off, this place has some really phenomenal unique takes on grilled cheese, full bar, and really badass desserts. Let's find out. First on tap, we have bacon pineapple lollies. This is skewered bacon coated with brown sugar and maple syrup, served alongside grilled pineapple dusted with cinnamon. I'm going to do my best to get two mouthfuls of each of these at the same time. Let'see how I can multitask here tonight. That's as well as I multitask, but I don't care how stupid I look because you're absolutely awesome. Simple, clean, tasty as hell. Nothing they do at the Dallas Grilled Cheese Company is simple, and that's really a good thing. This is their BBQ Short Rib Grilled Cheese, and it's exactly what you hear. They've got smoked short rib, duted cheese, arugula, house-made barbecue sauce, all lovingly grilled together on simply white bread. Yeah. I'm granted it's a bit of a cheat because there's a lot going on. This isn't your standard grilled cheese, but that said, this is still, I'd say, the best grilled cheese I've ever had. Behold the Elvis, one of their handful of dessert options that quite literally looks In between three-ohs here, we have a peanut butter, cream cheese, honey mix, bananas, a Nutella spread, marshmallows. They recommend fork and knife-ing this thing, so I'm going to follow the house rules here because I don't want to get in trouble. Not sure I'm going to fit this in my mouth, but I'll find a way. This is a hell of a way to end a meal, and I highly recommend it. With our prime-slim life, the Dallas Grilled Cheese Company.
