com. Today I'd The tools I'm going to be using today are the Kaizen knife, the long nose marker, and the whole figure hole fabrication tool. So we're going to be putting all of these tools in our O450 Pelican toolbox today and we'd So first what I want to do is take all of my tools and lay them out in my drawer. T So what I'll do once I lay out my drawer is I'll take my long tip marker and I'll trace around each and every one of the tools laid out. Make sure to keep the Kaizen marker as vertical as possible to ensure a nice accurate fit in the foam. So now that I have all of my parts traced out, I'm going to go back with my Kaizen blade and I'm going to advance forward the blade to the depth that I'm going to need of the cavity. So in t I'll then go and cut out where my tracing was. Make sure to stay inside the line. I'll keep the tools from j Once I've cut out all of my lines on that part, I'm going to go back with my finger. I'm going to pinch down on the foam and I'm going to start peeling back the layers. Keep in mind these are eighth inch layers and you're going to have to know what depth you're going to need for your parts. So I'm going to need about a half inch. So I'll do t I'll check my part to see how accurate the cutout is. Now I can see the fit is good but the depth isn't quite there. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to take my blade again, set it again. I'm going to advance the blade a little bit more forward and I'm going to go around the cutout one more time just so I can take another layer out of the Kaizen foam. So I'll go back with my finger and peel the next layer out. A good technique is to follow or massage the foam with your finger. That makes sure you're still on the same layer of foam. So that looks Alright, now I have all my tools laid out. I have all cutout and notice I have pretty uniform depths. I had to do that because I had to keep in mind the fact that the drawer is a relatively shallow drawer. I didn't want anyt So keep that in mind as well. Now what I'd You really have to wiggle your fingers in there to be able to get the pliers out. So I'm going to take our finger hole tool and I'm going to heat up t I'm going to take my finger hole tool and I'm taking my propane torch. I'm going to heat up the copper. Don't need to heat it up that much. Just a little bit of heat should do. I'm going to bring it at angle and just gingerly make a small half circle. Just enough space so that I can grab the tool quickly. Take my tool. Now I'll be able to grab it t So I'm going to do these for all of these and I'll see you in a second. Now I have all my finger holes burned into the foam. It makes it so much easier to take out the tools and put them back in. Now what you'll have noticed is the color of the foam. There are two different color options. We have the contrasting w T You can see what's missing. And we also have an all black model. It's a little more aesthetically appealing to some. So now you see how easy it is to use the Kaizen Foam System not only for your tools but for any of your Pelican needs.
