The UPS Store

When I walk around town and people say, hey Jordan, I love walking into your UPS stores. They're typically not talking about some system or process that we have. That statement is always followed by a person's name. Day by day what we do is help out customers, whether they need packing, s We always make sure every customer comes in, greeted right away with a smile. Just try to do excellent customer service. You get to do really cool and exciting t For making graduation cards or vanners or just being a part of their life, everyone in t I really want our stores to be places where people come because they're Man, we do work that's meaningful. Whatever you're doing for that person matters and it doesn't matter how little or small that deed is. One of our mailbox members, she was a long time member here, her and her husband, he had a stroke and so she was coming in and getting the mail. So every day, every time she was in, we're always asking her how's he doing, He did it in passing away. She came in and she said that were one of the best supportive system that she's had. If somebody comes into the business here and however long that they're with us, whether that's, When I t It's been a place that I can really learn that I'm not as limited as I t As long as you're driven, you're self-motivated and you're willing to learn, you can go anywhere in t We're all here to help each other out and give each other the tools that they need to succeed. I have seven managers that work directly underneath me, all of them except for one started as a sales associate. Working here has been more than what I expected. The growth that I was able to do, that they allow here is great, the support. What's kept me around is I love the people I work with. Just everyone cares about me so deeply here, so it's hard to leave. If you believe that your job matters and you're able to put your heart and your soul into that, then you're going to find a reward where other people won't. My vision is that we have just a world-class team when it comes to retail. It's a team of people who passionately enjoy serving other people. What I would expect for a new employee is to look for a way to make somebody's day 10 times better than when they walked into the store.
