I truly believe it started with Mr. Peterson. He was a man of integrity, a man of character. He passed down the ethic to my father-in-law, who then in turn passed it to my husband, and then my husband to my son. Well, I'm third generation of the business and fourth owner. I've worked with my grandfather and my father. It still remains a family business. Montana owned it. That still goes a long way with a lot of our decision makers that we deal with. I got started probably early in the junior high years. Sweeping the warehouse. Once I graduated from college, I got into sales. Started here in January of 1988. I've been here ever since, 35 years. In high school, it was my s Just watching him, just an honest, hard-working businessman. He did right by everybody. And so that's pretty much what I strive for. I just want to do right by the customer. I want the experience I would want for them to have that. I'm fourth generation to be a part of this business. I worked on and off basically my entire life throughout breaks and s I just started full-time a year ago. I'm very excited to be a full-time employee here. What I notice the most in listening even to my son to this day, customer service, is what's kept this business as good as it is here in Billings all these years. When I look at a customer, we talk about not only helping that customer out, we're not just looking for a sale. We're looking for a partnership and a long-time life customer. In our earlier years, were a typewriter equipment company. Our name was changed 20 years ago to Peterson Quality Office after were Peterson typewriter exchange. And the word quality came in because we do sell high-quality products. To this day, you still get what you pay for in the furniture and equipment industry. Steelcase has been a product that we've sold over the years. My grandfather brought that manufacturer in the early 50s. They are the largest office furniture manufacturer in the world. There's a reason they still exist. When you make the investment to revamping your workspace or even your home office, you want to do it once. You don't want to do it in a couple years again. The foundation of our company is in equipment. We've been a Conica Monolta dealer for over 50 years, and we also service and sell Toshiba and Brother. We're very passionate about the evolving technology side of our equipment because it gives us the chance to allow our customers to not only be cost efficient, but work efficient when it comes to their office equipment. Our n We've continued to demonstrate that over the years, and we feel that's the reason we've kept all these long-lasting relationships with our clients, and they continue to keep coming back and moving forward, that'still going to be our n When it comes to servicing our equipment, we have a very knowledgeable staff who goes the extra mile to resolve any issue you may be having, whether it's big or small. What's unique about our business is we're able to integrate technology into the furnishings, which has been very exciting to see. People are shocked when they come in and see what we have to offer. We've tried to bring things into our showroom that are on the cutting edge that gets the customer thinking outside the box. Your employees are your biggest asset you have, and we feel it's our job to design and get technology into these organizations that keep, attract and retain employees. When we say love how you work, that's our goal, and we love what we do. We really do, and everybody here is passionate about finding the best solution. The most gratifying thing is when we leave a job site and to see our customers happy. We just from start to finish really focus on the details and focus on the client and their budget and their needs and their wants, and try to mesh that all together into a project they can be proud of when it's all done. I would We have legacy customers that have been with us 40 plus years, and I thank them for helping us get to where we're at now. I got to give credit to my grandfather and father for the legacy and the groundwork those two had laid. The path was success for me. The fact that we are celebrating a hundred years old, it's unbelievable to me. So I say all the time and I tell the kids, I just wish your grandfather and your father were here to see how far you've come. They've taken this business to a whole new level. And I'm thankful for family because it means keeping the legacy alive at our organization. We have very loyal employees that work for us. We actually treat everybody They've carried the torch well. We're alive and well here and taking care of needs on a daily basis and having fun doing it.
