So this is Kimberley's 2007 Tri So basically I was approached by my friend Kim and she asked me if I could help her find a bike and I agreed and we ended up looking on Craigslist for a newer Tri She had been advised by her father that would be the right choice to make and I agreed and they were really nice bikes. So we ended up finding one not too far out of town and helped her go pick it up and rode it home. It was in pretty good shape already which made things a little easier for me. So basically what we ended up doing is safety first. We made sure that all the brakes and We got new brake pads, new rear brake disc. We did a chain and sprocket kit. We put the original exhaust back on because it originally came with when we bought it had a D&D TT exhaust kit which actually goes down and sweeps underneath the bike which wasn't ideal for Kim because she's a little short so she wanted me to lower the bike as much as I could safely. So putting the original exhaust back on helped out with a little more ground clearance so that she could put her feet flat on the ground. As far as the styling goes on this bike Kimberly wanted kind of an old school cafe racer look so went with the satin black paint and power coat on most of the parts. We lowered the headlight and gauge to give it more of a streamlined look. Put some clip on handlebars on it. Bob the front fender made a custom rear fender out of two stock Bonneville fenders. We also hand bent the cafe hoop at the back of the frame to give it that connected look The seat pan is hand laid fiberglass with a custom upholstered leather cover. We also relocated the brake light and turn signals. Got some shorter ones that kind of sit closer to the bike to give it a little sleeker look to it. So the exhaust was wrapped in a titani Luckily the previous owner had already rejetted the carbs to fit the D&D pipes so this thing is pretty quick and it sounds really cool. We got the shorty megaphone mufflers from Dime City Cycles as well as the built well thruster grips to match the custom seat. The gauge relocation mount is also a Dime City piece. We had a really great time building this bike for Kim and working with her ideas and her budget to create something that she would be really happy riding.
