One of the things a lot of people know about SEMA is the cars here, some of them are pushed in, some of them are built really cool and it's all about looks, but we So we met Howard Tanner at Redline Motorsports and Howard tell me, I think there's a ZL-R, ZL-1, what is behind me? Well, our whole program and we've been doing this year after year is that we've got a relationship with the Chevy dealership and we are building high performance modified cars through the dealer. I think we met So we decided to take the ZL-1 and just bring it to another level. So the ZL-R is really our hot rod version of the ZL-1 for that guy to thrill hungry for more performance. Okay, so how hungry are the performance on it? What kind of n Well, from the factory the car makes 580 horsepower, which for most people is probably plenty. That's plenty. But for the guy that's thirsty it's not enough. So we actually have two models. The one we have here produces about 725 horsepower, which definitely makes the ride pretty good. Should fill some need there. Should fill some need. And the model that we still have back at the shop that we'releasing probably just after January at 825 horsepower. Okay, now are you modifying what's factory or are you just totally taking all that out and bringing in something new? This model here, the 725, is based off the factory engine, which is incredible. It's very strong. We've had great success with it. The bigger model, we decided to build a bigger motor. It's a 7-liter motor. Using the 2. 3-liter supercharger off the ZL-1 Corvette because we And we knew at that kind of power level we needed just stronger parts. Okay, now speaking of other stronger parts, what else did you do to the car to accommodate that? Well, surprisingly enough, which is, thank God the GM did this, but the ZL-1 is very, very strong. I mean the axle isn't as strong. It's got a 9-inch rear in it. This model's actually got the automatic in it because we knew were going to do some drag racing fun with the car. And we've been really surprised at how well it's been holding up. This car's got stronger bushings in it. We didn't really need to do a lot to support the power level that we're at. The 825 horsepower version is getting a lot more bushing work, more drivetrain stuff in it. Basically stuff to support that kind of power. Okay, and you mentioned you're going to drag race it. Yeah, actually this car got a lot of attention when the ZL-1 came out. It's actually car n The guys at GM were good enough to get us a car pretty early for R&D. And I think we had the car for about one week and managed to get the car in the 1020s at almost 140 miles an hour at a time when people were still training about getting their car in order. So we've been having a lot of fun with it and we're based out of Florida. The weather gets a little crazy, so we stopped drag racing. Once these shows are over, we're going back to put the car probably deep into the 9s right now. That's what I was going to ask. What n We think the last time we had the car at the track that had the power to go probably high 9s, but the weather wasn't working. So it's probably got 980s in it right now, but we're probably shooting for 960s or 950s by the deep season for us. Okay, and is this a car that will travel to other tracks or just be found in Florida? This car, This is our promo car. So this car is probably going to be paraded around a little bit. We actually interviewed with somebody yesterday about possibly doing a top speed exhibition with it at the Bonneville Salt Flats, which is kind of exciting. Something I've always wanted to do and I think there's an opening for somebody in a Z01 that goes strike at a 220 mile an hour plus run. And I think this might be the car that might be going in. So if any of our viewers want to have this car built for them, do they contact you or do they go to their Chevy dealer? Well, it's not any dealer. We started this program with a dealer in New York when were in New York. We've been in South Florida for So we got paired up with Tropical Chevrolet that's out of Miami, So they're our point of sale for it, but anybody can contact me directly. And obviously working with a dealer, we get access to brand new cars and anything we want from them. So they can either reach the dealer or reach us. Okay, and what's your website? We're www. redline-motorsports. net. Okay, well, Google us. Thank you for your time, Howard. We Thank you, I appreciate it. Thank you. Thank you.
