So we're back at the Segway booth and we have got the newly released Myon. And this is really a tech forward approach for Segway e-bikes because as you know, they're very big into scooters and they're taking a lot of that knowledge and learning into the e-bike industry and some standout features of this bike are n So as you can see, they've got a servo driven electronic shifter which attaches to the rear derailleur and all of that can be controlled with the handlebar mounted controls there. So you can shift gears electronically. In terms of power on this bike, it does have a 500 nominal watt motor which can crank out 85 Newton meters of torque which puts it squarely in that 750 watt category but is delivering all that power through a 500 nominal watt motor. Now this is an e-bike that's categorized as class one, two or three. You can actually switch that around. Top speed 28 miles an hour in that class three mode and it's got both pedal assist as well as a throttle. Stopping power is delivered by dual piston hydraulic brakes as well as 180 millimeter rotors both up front and in the rear. Front fork suspension with 80 millimeters of travel, 27 and a half inch by 1. 95 inch tires with a mixed terrain tread, 46 tooth chain ring with an 11 to 39 tooth rear cassette, 600 l If you're familiar with Segway'scooter lineup, you'll see these very familiar handlebar and turn signals. Something else to point out is that they are going to be offering an optional accessory which is a top tube accessory which means you're no longer going to have to choose whether you want to step through or step over e-bikes because this bike will be able to be configured as both with that $99 add-on. And here's a quick demo of that dropper seat post. If you hit this button that seat post comes up and when you come to a stop it'll automatically lower. Now you might be wondering why would the seat automatically lower for you? Well when you come to a stop you definitely don't want to be on your tippy toes which you're usually on because you've adjusted your seat height to maximize pedal strength. So with this when you come to a stop it'll automatically lower that seat that way your feet are nice and firmly planted onto the ground. All right folks here's a closer look at the handlebar assembly on the myon. Here on the left hand side you do have your controls. Of course we've got our turn signals here which are handlebar and control signals. You also have a button here which will allow you to control the information that's on the screen and get this. You also have a gear position listed on there which is absolutely huge. Working our way to the right you'll see you've got more controls here. Right here in the center you've got your gear shift selector. So if I push this up you will see the actual Shimano cues move up and down through the gears all powered through the smart auto shift system. So that's a high level overview of the myon. Let me know what you think and if you want to read more about it I will include a link to Segway's product page as well as to my written overview in the description below.
