CYCLE PREP

~ Cycle-Prep is a Performance Oriented Motocross and Off-Road Shop whether you are a Racer or Recreationalist. We specialize in complete Bike Prep getting you ready for your next weekend of riding or racing. We offer Race Prep Packages to Complete 2 & 4 Stroke Engine Rebuilds, Suspension Service & Chassis Services, Wheel Building and even Rider Training along with many other services. Our goal is to keep your bike Ride & Race Ready through preventative maintenance and scheduled services. All the "BLING, BLING" and engine mods add up to NOTHING without proper maintenance and bike set-up. This shop is about riding and racing, nastier and rougher the better! A late second Moto on a tore up track, ARE YOU READY??? ~ Philosophy: The young racers today are amazing in their abilities yet at times it can almost frighten me to see just how little maintenance some of them are out on the track with as they line up for a 90 foot triple or are going 3rd gear into a nasty whoop section. Loose or missing bolts, missing spokes, water and oil leaks, a sticky throttle etc. These bikes are all very 'Maintenance Intensive' and it is easy to fall behind on the upkeep that they require. Ignoring the maintenance just leads to disappointment and expense. We give our fullest attention to ALL details, no matter how small, allowing our customers the peace of mind that their bikes are 100% prepared. The other end of the spectrum would be the people that understand the necessity of the maintenance but just simply don’t have enough time to even maintain their own bikes, the “Race Dad” and the “Vet Racer”. Honestly, I’d say that a large percent of my customers are very capable of doing the work that they are having me perform but they just don’t have the time. That was me over eight years ago with seemingly no extra time to maintain my own bike and in turn cheating me from enjoying a sport that I’ve loved since I was a kid. I asked myself one day, “If I knew of a shop that would maintain my bike the way that I would want it maintained, would I find value in that?” This is Cycle Prep, thanks. ~ Professionalism: We maintain a consistently high level of professional care and responsibility in each job. We guarantee all of our work to be of the highest quality, as we know our riders would expect nothing less. ~ OTHER SERVICES: • Suspension services: We offer complete Suspension Service front & rear 'In House' and offer our customers Suspension Valving choices by Factory Connection, Precision Concepts, Race Tech, Shock Therapy, Schmidt Performance • Steering stem and suspension linkage lubricating and repair • Tire installation and flat repair • Wheel building and precision truing • Chassis and sub-frame repair • Aluminum, titanium and stainless steel welding • 4 stroke valve adjust • 4-stroke head work, including resurfacing, cutting & replacement of valve seats • 2 stroke cylinder and 4 stroke cylinder head porting provided by “Pro Circuit” • 2 & 4 stroke top and bottom end rebuilds • Installation of graphic kits, seat covers and seat lowering • “READY FOR SALE” bike and ATV detailing • Pick up and delivery by special request • Track side “Rider Support” for racers that frequent our shop • Rider Training • Track side “Bike Wash” • Service plans available • Bike storage with on call “Ready to Ride” request • Arrive & Race, call for info. ~ Rider Support: From 2000 to 2001, I spent a year handling an Amateur Race Support Program for Chaparral Motorsports and every weekend for a little over a year, sometimes three events in one weekend. I provided track side support consisting of Parts and Service to write ups of each day of racing, race results and pictures to even sweeping our riders gates, then listing everything onto their website. It was a very good program and is exactly what I intend to mimic with Cycle Prep.

Before moving on to consider what is changing in the new PACE's 23 carousel, it is important to remind ourselves of what is staying the same. There are in fact a relatively small n The clinical examination remains a five station carousel with eight clinical encounters completed in 125 minutes. Each cycle will have five candidates. Calibration remains a critical point in the day for standard setting. There will be sufficient time for examiner pairs to review and discuss the patients participating in the assessment. This is the criteria standard setting process on the day and it is crucial to the fair and consistent conduct of the assessment. The calibration process will normally take 30 to 40 minutes and will not change with the new carousel and it must always be completed before the examination starts. At stations 1A and 4A communication, the surrogate must be rehearsed. It is suggested that one of the examiners takes the role of the candidate and specific aspects of the scenario which require clarification or emphasis are discussed. Specific questions the surrogate is required to ask the candidate should be clarified. The patient or surrogate should be brief to answer all of the candidate's questions as accurately and consistently as they can. They should be advised not to withhold information but also not to volunteer information that has not been sought by the candidate. Examiners at station 2 and 5 should ensure that the problem described in each consultation scenario is focused and clear and that each of the tasks set can feasibly be completed by a competent candidate in the 15 minutes available. Examiners must rehearse the history, check the physical signs and consider the important aspects of communication as part of their calibration. The examiners should agree which parts of the physical examination they feel the candidate should undertake and which parts they will instruct the candidate not to undertake should they volunteer to do so. They should ensure that the patient or surrogate is prepared to ask the candidate's one or two questions and clearly understand the scenario if it varies from their own clinical history. The requirement to pass each of the seven skills should be agreed by both examiners. Where an encounter raises an issue subject to legal or other national guidance, for example nice guidelines or driving restrictions, the examiners must agree what it is reasonable that candidates who may not live and work in the UK should be aware of. The physical examination encounters are also unchanged. The respiratory and abdominal encounters are now linked to a communication encounter which must be undertaken first when the candidate starts the station. The cases, the timings and the skills assessed and the passing standard for each skill are unchanged. At station 1b, respiratory, station 3 cardiovascular and neurology and station 4b abdomen, short introductory statements should be continued to be produced by the host and should be easily visible to the candidate as they enter the station. The introductor should pose a question and not simply indicate the part of the physical examination required. For example at the cardiovascular encounter, the introductor for a patient with mitral regurgitation and atrial fibrillation might read, this patient presented with palpitations, please examine their cardiovascular system to establish a cause. We will now move on to the elements of the PACE's carousel that will be changing.
