On this episode of Monster Nation, we're off to Minneapolis Monster Soda, to meet the Scallywags, a troop of bicycle renegades who take h Come on! Come on! Then we're headed to Houston to meet an art car artist who's got a lot of friends. Get in, climb on, and shut up. Hang on. This is his latest creation, the Iron Maiden, but take a look at his other car. And we'll see how the U. S. Army trains their soldiers to drive one of these monsters. As you'll see, there's more to Fort Knox than just gold. And then we'll go to the Monster Nation lab. The team is really cooking up some mischief. They wanted to make a machine that would take care of slackers, procrastinators, and couch potatoes. Hey, that's me. Meet the latest invention, the motivator. And then we'll visit Jeff Griffin, a high-flying warrior who gives it all, and he's got to go big, even if he has to play hard. Then we're flying off to England to see some Brits who put a whole new spin on the idea of Demolition Derby. All but and more as Monster Nation conquers the civilized world. Tucked under the shadow of the Minneapolis skyline, these guys take bicycles to their most imaginative extreme. Scaliwags Bike Club is a group of people that are crazy bike riders. We're always just building, creating cake. And whether it's creating tall bikes As member Gilbert intends to do today, he will attempt a world record double roll on the Circle Bike. The Scaliwags have their own monster garage. MIG welder, word bench, vise, grinder, chop saw, spare parts here, and the ox is settling in the middle of the road. And the Scaliwags have their own garage. They have their own garage. Spare parts here, and the ox is settling torch. After a little morning coffee, the guys decide to build a drag bike. We're going to try to burn out one of these tall bikes here. And we kind of got the idea from motorcycle clubs who run through all the gears and just shred the back wheel. And we're going to run a chain Once it starts going, this wheel is just going to start going. And it's just going to go and go. And more smoke. That's it. What about when we used to have 88 miles an hour? Well, we're not going to mention the flux capacitor today. That's for another show. We're just going to start working this out from scratch. But this doesn't make sure that easy to cut. We got a problem here. We realized that it's turning it the wrong way. We're going to do now what Nick's doing is he's going to weld that wheel so there's no freewheel so we can actually run this thing backwards. This is where the inventor spirit really comes in. I mean, look at that. After a morning of constructing the creative contraption, the Skellywags put the drag bike to the test. Go full power. Well, we did get smoke, but it didn't come from where we thought it would. But we're actually pleased, aren't we? Are we pleased with this? Even with the drag bike'somewhat disappointing performance, the Skellywags are a happy lot. When afternoon hits, it's time for the team to hit the streets and show off some of their new creations. Basically, this bike's And from the big to the nearly nonexistent. I got this bike called the Invisible Bicycle. It's kind of Comments range from, So with the crowd ready to be wowed, the circle bike has arrived just in time. My name is Gilbert and this is our monster bike. What you do is just paddle really fast and then stop and lean all your weight forward.
