Black is not black. For Jason Anderson, showing Harleys at one of the area's biggest motorcycle shows isn't just cool, it's therapeutic. Manly, I'm a lot better than I was before I met these guys. Anderson is a staff sergeant in the Army. In 2008, he was serving as an infantry squad leader in Iraq when the tanker he was in was hit by a roadside bomb. Were actually escorting some civilians that were doing some reconstruction in Iraq and we did the job and on the way back that's when were hit by an IED. Anderson suffered a n Physically he's recovered but mentally it'still a struggle. The culmination of all that ended up turning PTSD, sort of weirded its ugly head with me and that's really what I'm dealing with now. Anderson was assigned to the Army's Warrior Transition Unit. One of the final steps of the rehabilitation program is to do an internship with a military organization. But as an avid motorcyclist, he took a different route and chose Charmed City Shoppers. They gave me a sense of belonging which is kind of when you're an injured soldier you kind of miss that. For the owners of the shop, having Anderson around has been good for them too. We're happy that were open our doors to him and let him come in and experience what's going on and also create another friendship. That's what we're about. A friendship that's proving to be the best medicine. Life puts you in certain places in certain situations and this is one of those times where it's really helped and really worked. In Timoni
