Rottweiler Motorcycle Co.

Welcome to the Facebook page For Rottweiler Bikes! We are your all around motorcycle shop! Everything to do with motorcycles under one roof!

Hey, my name is Jonathan Hicks. I am one of the owners of Rottweiler Motorcycle Company. We have been invited to the one Moto show down in Portland, Oregon. The bike that we are bringing is kind of started out as an XS650, I think an 8081. Factory, I don't I mean they are cool and everything, but it is just shot bike that was laying around so we just started kind of chopping away at it until it was just kind of the neck and the gas tank. Alongside I had an 07 KX250F. So I kind of just started moving the KX components into this other frame setup. I just wanted a minimalist bare bones type of bike and something that I never really tried before. And I feel I love used parts. If there is an XS we are never going to use and it has kind of seen better days. Same thing with this dirt bike. So the short story behind this build is I hadn't really done any builds in years. Just didn't, wasn't feeling it and just the way the shop was flowing, I just didn'think were ready to build people motorcycles. So just decided to say, hey, we will do custom stuff but we are not doing builds. We are not ready for it. We are too young, we are not experienced enough yet and I didn't want to j That was just what I felt. So what sparked this build was Keith who works here, he put a bike, a CB into the one moto show two years ago. We are all p Obviously, we do this together. It is a team thing. But he was the guy that was the guy with the bike in the show and healthy competition. It is good because he and I have that. But to be walking around the show, it felt so good. It was awesome. This is cool and there is cool lighting and a bunch of other bikes and to see one of our bikes in the show is just big for us. But I didn't do it. I felt that was a little bit of a turning point. I was So that was kind of the, kind of stirred me up a little bit, But on the other side, I'm like, I'm glad it wasn't because, And in a perfect world, that would have been me, but it's not. And So to have somebody else do it before me was good.
