Midwest Police Motorcycle Training

Hi, I'mark Degrasse. I'm with Two Fast Motorcycle Track Day from the Strucks. We're out here today at the Washington State Patrol Academy in Shelton, Washington, helping a lot of local motorbike cops improve their high-speed cornering. They get a lot of opportunities to work on high-tech stuff, do possession type training, a lot of other stuff, but they don't get many chances to get on the track and actually improve their high-speed cornering. So myself and Chris Johnson from Go WMST were invited to come out today and help them. And that Saturday, we started this in a fantastic time. We've really enjoyed it. It's nice interacting with the officers and bike guys who are the first to go along. And just helping them with some techniques that they're used to riding these bikes. There goes an officer right now on Chris's little Ninja 250 having a ball. But for the most part, they're used to a lot slower speed maneuvers and so helping them work on their body position and all the whole things we teach in our performance schools has really applied here. We're certainly kind of catered back a little bit, so it's not so aggressive. But for the most part, working with them, getting their bodies a little bit biased inside, it helps these guys tremendously, especially the guys that are riding the Harleys that have very limited lead angle with their side bags and pipes. These guys come back in their tickle pink because they can actually corner the bike now without dragging all the hard parts. So it's been a great time here. We've got a group of Harley guys coming out to work with. We're thankful to the state for inviting us here to work with these. Officer Wayne Davis is kind of the one that coordinated this.
