Semper Fi Cycle

Toren, four years ago, your life changed forever. You had an IED explode under you, you lost your legs, you were in a coma, tra Since then, you've gotten involved with the Semper Fi's athletic program, but you've also used that as a platform to raise awareness. Tell me about this journey that you're on right now. So I said, I want to do a fundraiser. I didn't know what kind of fundraiser, and I was Let's hand cycle across America. My wife found out about it, and she kind of went about it, and she kind of asked me some questions. And then she just went full steam ahead with it, just, Next thing Hotels, some hotels wanted to sponsor rooms, so it just started making its way. So On that bike, two flags fly above you, American flag and the Marines flag. How did you come up with that? And how much inspiration do you draw from that knowing that those are both flying right above you as you go from state to state? A lot. It represents our freedom. I wanted to, Brian Riley here with you, part of your team. Brian, What's this journey been It's been long, because all I'm doing is driving the van behind Torrin. So as far as one way on the road, all I'm doing is But meeting the people has probably been the best part of it. Technology obviously a big part of this. You had Brian driving behind you, Torrin. Tell me about this hand cycle, the technology behind that's made it possible for you to go on this journey, but also the technology that's out there for you now to just be part of your everyday life after your injury. The bike is pretty simple actually. You wouldn'think it is, but being able to ride a bike basically in a lay down position on your back and using just your arms is pretty ingenious to me, I think. I never really rode a bike before my injury. I thought it was, I was a big fan. Were more lifting weights and fulking up and running and stuff I started doing CrossFit and I was Tell me how people can help and get involved with your cause and simplify.
